1. Introduction
Pnlytic ("Pnlytic", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website at pnlytic.com and the web application at https://app.pnlytic.com (together, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account and identity information
- Email address, display name, and profile photo (including when you sign up with Google).
- Firebase authentication identifiers used to secure your account.
- Profile preferences such as timezone, default currency, bio, trading experience, markets, and brokers.
2.2 Trading and journal data
- Trades you log manually or import via CSV (symbols, prices, quantities, dates, fees, notes, tags, strategies, and related fields).
- Journal entries, emotions, reviews, and other content you create in the app.
- Analytics derived from your trading activity (for example win rate, profit factor, expectancy, and equity curve calculations).
- Shared P&L cards or exports you generate (only if you choose to create or share them).
2.3 Subscription and billing information
- Subscription plan, billing cycle, trial dates, and subscription status.
- Purchase history and billing events stored on our systems.
- Payment details are processed by our payment provider when checkout is enabled; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
2.4 Usage, device, and technical data
- Log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps.
- Product usage events (pages visited, features used, errors) to improve reliability and performance.
- Cookies and similar technologies on our marketing website (see Section 8).
2.5 Marketing attribution data
- UTM parameters, referrer URL, landing page, and ad click identifiers (such as gclid) when you arrive from campaigns.
- This helps us measure marketing effectiveness and is stored with your account where applicable.
2.6 Support and communications
- Messages you send through in-app feedback or email support.
- Records of how we respond to your requests.
3. How we use your information
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate you and protect accounts from unauthorized access.
- Process subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, and billing records.
- Calculate analytics and display dashboards based on your trading data.
- Send service-related notices (trial ending, subscription changes, security alerts).
- Respond to support requests and resolve disputes.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, chargebacks, and violations of our Terms.
- Enforce trial limits, refund policies, and account restrictions (including blacklisting repeat abusers).
- Analyze aggregated or de-identified usage to improve the product.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. Legal bases for processing (where applicable)
Depending on your location, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract — to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the platform, prevent abuse, and improve our product, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — for optional marketing cookies or communications where required.
- Legal obligation — when we must retain or disclose data under applicable law.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records for billing, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
Backup copies may persist for a limited time before being overwritten.
Accounts terminated for abuse (including repeated trial or payment manipulation) may retain certain identifiers in a restricted blacklist to prevent re-registration, as described in our Refund Policy and Terms.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure authentication.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
9. International data transfers
Pnlytic is available globally. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate.
Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Your rights and choices
To exercise these rights, email support@pnlytic.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
- Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — update inaccurate account or profile information in Settings or by contacting us.
- Deletion — request account deletion, subject to legal and billing retention requirements.
- Export — request an export of your trading data where technically available.
- Objection / restriction — object to certain processing where applicable under local law.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent (for example marketing emails).
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links and sign-in
The Service may link to third-party sites or allow sign-in through Google. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review Google's privacy policy when using Google sign-in.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
