Refund Policy
When refunds apply, how cancellations work, and how we handle repeated pay-and-cancel abuse.
Questions? support@pnlytic.com
1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and billing disputes work for Pnlytic subscriptions. It supplements our Terms of Service. By subscribing, you agree to this policy.
We aim to be fair to legitimate customers while protecting the Service from plan abuse and payment fraud.
2. Free plan
- New users may use the Free plan without payment, subject to usage limits on our pricing page (currently 30 trade logs per month).
- The Free plan does not expire after a fixed number of days; limits reset each billing month as described in the app.
- Upgrading to Pro or Elite is optional. Paid subscriptions bill as described at checkout.
- Each person is allowed one free account. Creating additional accounts to circumvent limits violates our Terms and may result in termination and blacklisting.
3. Paid subscriptions
- Pro and Elite plans renew automatically each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel.
- Prices are shown at checkout and on our pricing page in the currency displayed (currently INR for listed plans).
- You can cancel anytime from the billing section in the app or by emailing support.
- After cancellation, you typically retain access until the end of the current paid billing period; we do not usually prorate unused time.
4. When refunds may be granted
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started, except in the situations below or where required by law.
We may issue a full or partial refund at our discretion if:
- You were charged in error (duplicate charge, wrong amount, or charge after a confirmed cancellation).
- You could not access paid features for a substantial period due to a verified outage on our side.
- You cancel within 48 hours of your first paid charge and have not materially used paid-only features beyond reasonable evaluation (one-time courtesy for genuine first-time subscribers).
- Your bank or payment provider requires a refund under applicable consumer protection rules.
- Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the charge in question unless a longer period is required by law. Email support@pnlytic.com with your account email, charge date, amount, and reason.
5. Non-refundable situations
Refunds are generally not provided for:
- Partial billing periods after you have had access to paid features.
- Plan downgrades mid-cycle (changes typically apply at the next renewal).
- Failure to cancel before renewal when renewal notices were available in the app or email.
- Dissatisfaction with trading results — Pnlytic is a journaling tool, not an advisory service.
- Accounts suspended or terminated for Terms violations or abuse (Section 6).
- Chargebacks filed without contacting us first to resolve the issue.
6. Repeated pay–cancel abuse and blacklisting
Some users attempt to exploit subscriptions by repeatedly paying, using paid features, cancelling, and requesting refunds—or by cycling through free and paid plans using different accounts or payment methods. This behavior is not permitted.
Examples of abuse include:
- Multiple subscribe → cancel → refund cycles in a short period.
- Opening new accounts after a refund or ban to obtain another free plan or promotional rate.
- Using temporary payment methods solely to extend free or discounted access.
- Coordinated or automated sign-ups intended to bypass fair-use limits.
- Chargebacks used as a substitute for cancellation.
Actions we may take
When we detect abusive patterns, we may:
- Deny refund requests related to the abusive activity.
- Terminate one or more associated accounts without refund.
- Add relevant identifiers to an internal blacklist (email addresses, payment method tokens, device or browser signals, IP ranges, or other fraud indicators).
- Block blacklisted identifiers from creating new accounts or completing new purchases.
- Share dispute information with our payment processor as permitted by law.
What this does not affect
Blacklisting is a protective measure for the platform and honest customers. It does not affect users who cancel normally, use the free plan as intended, or request a legitimate refund under Section 4.
If you believe you were blacklisted in error, contact support@pnlytic.com with your account email and explanation. Reinstatement is at our sole discretion and may require identity verification.
We may update abuse-detection criteria as the Service evolves. Material updates to this section will be reflected on this page.
7. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Contact us before initiating a chargeback. We will work in good faith to resolve billing issues quickly.
Unauthorized or abusive chargebacks may result in immediate account closure, forfeiture of refunds, and blacklisting as described above.
We provide payment processors with usage logs and billing records to contest invalid chargebacks.
8. Refund processing
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible.
- Processing time depends on your bank or card issuer (typically 5–10 business days after approval).
- We will email you when a refund is initiated or if we need more information.
9. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect revisions. Continued use of paid features after changes constitutes acceptance.
